FS7: SDI bafflement

As my loss/rage with HDMI http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?363854-Fury-at-monitoring! bubbles away I thought I would do some fiddling with my FS7 SDI.

I have not used sdi on my FS7 since I broke the SDI input on my DP502 monitor (more rage at crappy product that is not set ready)

Anyway.

I cant get any SDI signals working?

I have redbyte decimator and yesterday we had a TVlogic in the house.

Both plug straight into my EX1 and work. Take the same cable into the FS7 and nothing.

Ive updated the frimware to 4.31 and still nothing.

Camera is currenly set on 1080 25p slog 2.

Ive not tested my atomos which has SDI in.

Maybe the SDI only ever worked with my SmallHD which seems to be quite robust in managing sony signals.

Im wondering if im a menu muppet or the SDI is actually broken??

I would save your current settings as an All files and then do a camera reset. I presume you already checked in the output menu so the SDI outputs are active? Both of them checked?

Have just tested FS7 at 1080 25p Slog2 and under VIDEO / Output Format there are two HD/2K options, 2048x1080PsF, 1920x1080PsF. The 2048 line has --- next to it the 1920 line has 1920x1080i next to it. With the 1920x1080i option selected and then SET I have a signal out to the Atomos. By tapping the input signal on the Atomos it can be switched from 1080i to 25p. The 25p selection then displays a 2:2 pull down flag next to it. Both SDI's showing the same. I can select SDI 2K in the Output Format menu if so desired.

Tried my Atomos.

No luck.

I think I have a good handle on what should work when.. basically if 4k is coming out of HDMI then SDI is limied. But with the cam set on 1080 and HDMI target 'monitor' there should be no problems.

Doesnt work with..
Redbyte, TVlogic, Atomos.

Hmm! Maybe a sick FS7 and a trip to the doctor... bit of a downer. Yes correct if HDMI is 4k then SDI's are disabled.
