SD on P2 cards

Yes. I have recorded SD on my HVX00's P2 cards

Yep, works well.

A 32 GB card will hold 128 minutes in DVCPRO

well, you can only record DV to tape (not DVCPRO ...), so the comparison would be moot, except DV. Besides, a digital recording is a digital recording regardless of the type of medium. The quality of the bits derives from the source, not the recording media.

DV on tape will look identical to DV on P2.

DVCPRO50 will look way better than what you can record on tape.

It will look "better" in terms of "no dropouts."
