C100: SD cards

Hi.
I normally use a Sandisk Extreme Pro 16 Gb 95 Mb/s card. Can I use a slower card (perhaps 30 or 45 Mb/s in writing) since they are cheaper, or I might lose some data in writing?
Thanks.

I use a Sandisk Extreme 32gb 45MB/s class 10 card and haven't had any issues yet. I don't film long-form events so I can't comment on whether it would hold up well there.

Class 10 is all you need but don't buy cheap media cards. Not worth the risk. Be careful who you get your SanDisk media cards from. They are the most counterfeited of them all. I buy from Amazon or B&H. Avoid Ebay!

Last night I had a cheapo SD card that came with some device I bought and it cracked open. I only used this card for firmware updates and non critical stuff. Always wondered what a SD card looked like.

I've been buying sandisk class 10 cards from Costco. I get a 2 pack of 16gig cards for 28 bucks and haven't had any issues whatsoever.

I have always used Transcend Class 10 SD and never had a problem. They are semi-budget cards but very reliable.
