My friends camera has the male end of a tripod plate stuck in his female end of his camera. Not as fun as it sounds:Drogar-BigGrin(DBG) hahaha does anyone have any ideas how to get this out?!

its really jammed in there, like it broke off IN it, there's no part sticking out =( do u know how much it would cost him to replace it?

It's not a complex procedure, but you'll have to do it VERY carefully. First, assuming it's not cross-threaded, turn the camera bottom side up and place some penetrating oil in the thread area and let it soak for several hours to work on whatever glop is in there binding on the screw.

Second, and this is the tricky part, get a tool from your local hardware store that fits on the end of your variable speed drill designed to drill into the body of the screw and then grab onto the piece of metal and back it out.

I feel a bit of an idiot since I cannot remember the name of the oil you need, nor the proper name of the tool, but a good hardware store (typically not your big box stores) can steer you to the right pieces.

The trick will be in securing the camera and the drill so that the bit doesn't wander off the shank of the screw and into the softer bits of the camera.
