Here are some screenshots of using P2CMS to try and transfer P2 footage (from a locked P2 Card loaded in a dual systems adapter) to an external firewire drive.

Note the last shot where P2CMS says it will erase the files after transferring them. P2CMS was unable to transfer the footage because ( I think ) the P2 card was locked and wouldn't P2CMS erase the footage

I did not try transferring without having the "do compare" button checked.

And I did not try and transfer with the P2 card unlocked.

do you have try if it really cancel footage??
if i have read well you have ceck the option "copy" in the export window,and in the warning window is write that if you ceck(movie)the items are deleted.but you have selected copy and not movie in the export window so maybe this method will not cancel your footage.
do you have try if it cancel the clips??

Ahhhh...I get it now. I do not have move checked-so it shouldn't erase the footage. Thanks for making it clearer - that makes much more sense.

I did try to export with the set up as you see ( with "copy" and NOT "move") - but I still got error messages. I also don't understand why in the manual it says to click the 'ingest' button instead of saying to 'export'.

i will retry the export.
