Screens from my first HVX feature "All Gods Creatures"

Hello everyone,

I just finished wrapping principle photography on my first feature film entitled "All Gods Creatures". It's a romantic thriller about a serial killer who finds himself falling in love. I was the co-director/DP on the project and we shot on the HVX200 with a wide angle adapter. This is my first project I shot in 1080/24pn and so far I'm happy with the product.

I exported a few screen shots to share with the rest of the community and hopefully I'll be able to post the trailer sometime this month.

Until then.

Looks good. Thanks for putting some lighting in. How'd the bare hvx do in the dark settings?

We had a 20k budget and used the century optic 7.5 wide lens. The HVX performed better then I though in the low light conditions. For me it all comes down to the different lighting setups. I never really got to explore that until I shot this feature. We had our master ped at -5 to -7 for the entire shoot which helped to get clean shadows. I also have to say it's amazing what you can accomplish and learn when you just bite the bullet and shoot a feature film.
