Screening A1 Footage on TV Monitor

I'm working on my very first test shots from the A1.
The footage, burned to DVD, looks good and smooth on on my computer monitor, but looks very, very choppy on my CRT television. What's the deal here? Is is possible to burn a DVD that'll work on both computer/web and a CRT TV?

The workflow goes like this:

-SD shot at 24F.
-Capture and cutting in FCE.
-Export QT Movie to Toast 7.

Thanks,
M.

I don't use FCE, but I'm wondering how you exported the clips. 24f has extra fields inserted to fill the 60i data stream.

Some program recognise the pulldown and removes it for reviewing the clip in your NLE, but when you export it you have to specify 24p to get rid of it. If you don't get rid of the pulldown the movement can look choppy.

Editing before removing pulldown can be a problem in some NLE's too as you won't know where the cut is in relation to the added fields.
