He's probably okay. They're imported from Japan (or somewhere in Asia), and the seller actually states that up-front, which is a good sign of "up-frontness" from this dealer. The only downside to a Japanese HVX is that you don't get an English manual (big deal--just download it). The HVX actually sells for much less there than in the U.S. for some reason. My friend bought three HVXs direct from his contact in Japan. I think he paid under $4,500 each, or less.
 
Congratulations MCgee. I saw that one and almost bid on it. Just curious, Had I bid it up 50 would you have gone higher?
