Lol, I thouhght you were demanding an Anal Probe because of my banner at first, which come to think of it would help explain Alien fascination with that particualar area ... not that I'm sayin' anything about richard.

(and sorry about the double real estate guys, I like to post mine on the gallery wall as it were, cuz it will prbably change 10 or 12 times between now and August)
 
Thanks Jack. I just didn't feel right about this contest without a little Simmons. Wouldn't it be crazy if Richard was Gene's little brother?

Hey this banner thing is brand new to me as of this contest. Then I started at zero on .gifs yesterday. I think I'm starting to get it, but would you mind telling me how many frames that is and the duration of each frame? Also what program are you using?

I told Jeremy that I wanted to make a banner that represents a looping, 6 second movie. You're getting close to it there. You have beginning, middle, and ahem, end.

So gimme the stats of what we can't see. Is that 32 color? How many frames? Frame duration? Program?

Sorry to be anal about this, but I've decided that I need to get a lot more capable on the web. I had a guy that I was going to pay to make my site into a nice flash site and I think he was abducted by aliens.:huh:

Actually this is my entry for teh DVX SCi FI fest -- this IS my movie ...

hmmm ... its 51 frames long 288X70 at 72 res and its 173K most frames are Zero duratiom except the ones that hold and the flashing richards are .1 seconds each.

I did it in image ready. I had never done it before either so I just searched animate in photoshop and it told mem how to do it, and then I just experimented.
 
Someone requested Firefly? Here's one I whipped up based on one of my favorite Serenity promotional banners. Feel free to take it and run with the idea if you have a way to embelish it.

Jesus; Try Googling Anal Probe and see how quick you have to explain to your wife your looking for something for the SCIFI Banners...

If somebody doesn't beat me to it I'm gonna .gif animate some cow abductions... or else blowing an alien's head off with a phaser.
