Wonder how hard it would be after votes are tallied to draw a circle around all the non DVX / HVX entries and just call that the OTHER or OPEN category and not have prizes for it but you could still win 1st 2nd or 3rd in the OPEN Catagory ... Barry ... Jarred ... in all your infinate free time ... guys?

*in Homer Simpson voice* Mmmmm, open category.

I've got a friend who's got a $80K Varicam I could use ....

Well ... IF they decided to acknowlede the Other Category seems like we'd have to cap it to HVX comparables (not saying there is an equal) like the prosumer JVC and Sony HD's and if Canon is really launching one too -- nothing that someone would actually use to shoot Law & Ordere, LOL.

Or maybe not -- maybe the open catgery is everything from Pixelvision up to Sin City HD and Dick Tracey 70MM ...

Wow, you've come a long way.

Simmons and bunny rabbits huh? Nice combo. ;)
that wasn't the BEST I could do but I was to intimidated by everyon's photo shop skills/to busy to try a real one so I just did something silly

The original RC banner was badass when you consider the excellent flick that Jack was about to dump on us. We should have known he had an ace up his sleeve.

Jack your banners look too good right now so I'm guessing you haven't decided on an idea yet.

You are correct -- waiting to see what actors are back and that will shape my idea a lot.
But maybe my banner means that my film will suck this time

You're original RC banner causes bizarre uncontrollable laughter in me... it's creepy. Do you know what "warm fuzzies" feel like? I get those until I start laughing... I think it's the kitten coming out of the tissue box.

If you ever saw the SpongeBob where Plankton wants to develop the beach and tricks SB into helping him run everyone off... and once SB realizes what he's doing he goes nutty nice on everybody until Plankton says, "it's too nice... it... it can't take it". You never know what Plankton is referring to as, "it". But when I look at that banner I DO know.:cheesy: That banner is so nice that it hurts my brain.:undecided

You know I think the second most used phrase around here is "not that there's anything wrong with that" followed after someone pointing out that someone or something is gay. The most common used phrase I think is "we can't answer you because your question it's too vague, there are too many variables" or words to that effect, you know after someone asks "how to light" or "how much to charge for editing" or what the best settings for the DVX are. But I digress. When I posted the original Richard Simmons banner Jarred said "That's the gayest thing I've ever seen, not that there's anything wrong with that." Which was in fact my intent, to create the gayest banner possible (not that there's anything wrong with that). We have XL2 users making there voices heard around here, and I've learned that there are even cool chics about. But I'm waiting for someone that's Gay with a vengence (not that there's anything wrong with that) to round out our Adam Sandler level of PC and tolserance around around here :)
EDIT: I'm not gay BTW ... not that there's anything wrong with that.
