Sci-fest - The Prizes and Rules

BEST SCREENPLAY PRIZE

CMessineo over at Off Stage Films is offering a copy of "Hollywood Screenwriter" software to the Best Screenplay of Sci-Fest.

Thanks Chris!

How do you win best Screenplay? jus wondering..

do you send in a copy of your screenplay...or just by wats going on in the scene and the way its ordered and stuff..?

Your Grammer isnt going to be judged.. just whoever has the best Story. It might look like crap, but if its a good story that's all thats important for this prize.

oo I see.

Well i kno rite away mine wont win Best Screenplay...my story is sooo cliche..but i dont give a hooot!

...still want your camera thou...

This thing is getting massive. I wonder if there will be an extension like on the zombiefest...

Right now, I would love an extension of 30 additional days.

Well, I'm sure you don't HAVE to, you just won't be eligible for prizes (same as if you shoot with any other camera) if we have to watch your flick interlaced, or anything other than glorious 24P. :)

If you have a DVX100A and you are enetering a contest for distribution on the web and DVD only and don't shoot 24pa for narrative work as a general rule, you should have your camera taken away from you and given to Black Hawk. :cheesy:

24pa on web = smaller file
24pa to DVD = true 24p just like a film

30p or 60i makes no sense to me unless you doin a doc or worried about strobin.

Chris is welcome to score as many of the films as he likes. No problem.

I like what I hear so far. I went ahead and PM'd you Chris ... probably buried now in a stack of PM's from interested parties.

I'm 99% positive Jarred/Barry wouldn't have a problem with it. Spidey nailed it with the fact that the same composers are used for many different films, sometimes with the same films with nominations for awards.
