schleppin' productions

This shot is uncorrected -- as are the previous shots. These are screen grabs from the HDV 1080i shot with the Sony Z1U. This is the miracle shot. THE RED QUEEN spots the Morning Star (Venus) at dawn low on the horizon. It's an incredible moment in the movie -- what she says will knock anybody's socks off.

I have to rent the costume first. Then I will shoot a still of Liv and use that as the poster. I'll have to figure out the background too.
The girl in the front is Jenessy. I have two songs by her in the movie. She turned out to be really good. I'm developing my second felliniesque movie. I tried to shoot it a couple of months ago, but the auditions were disasterous. I'll never do electronic submissions again. From now on it's hard copies.

Electronic submissions are so easy that actors forget that they have submitted to a dozen movies a day, and then they decide which auditions they'll go to and which they'll skip. So there were so many no-shows that I canceled the auditions and the movie. Postponed it anyways.

LOL, no I mean when you were shooting did you get a shot of the star when it came out. And you don't really have to worry about a background. Take her photo against a green screen and you can composite it any background you want in Photoshop. You can completely make backgrounds up.

I didn't have a stills camera with me during production. I'm going to include that in future productions, because stills have become even more important with the Internet marketing of DVDs.

The best option I may have is to create the poster in Photoshop myself. I'll use one of the screen grabs from that day when the Morning Star appeared.

I think I can make it work, but I know it will take me several hours, maybe days before I'm happy with the art work.

I just don't have the budget to hire a graphic designer to do it.

getting the distribution in full gear will entail doubling the budget of the movie; that's the hardest part: raising the funds to do it:)

Nice. A lot cleaner. I think the title should go across the top. Finally you give us some idea of what this movie was all about. Even thought there's no actually story the breakdown could get some people into it.

Thanks for the feedback. I added a title at the top and a gif on the right side. What do you think now?

I should perhaps write more about the story of the movie.

Here is a short synopsis that was originally posted on my felliniesque website.

Almost everything that happens in the world, in the life of everyone, is somehow connected to a struggle. It is the struggle between good and evil, light and darkness, life and death. The light and the darkness fight each other not only in the world but also in every individual. It is, however, up to every individual which of the two sides will win. The bright side of the human soul is supported by the conscience given to each person by God; the dark side is supported by the demonic forces present in the world. The Players are a group of musicians selected to be tempted with fame and fortune. Their struggle leads to self-discovery and freedom.

This I admit was the first time I checked this out. I did not get through reading many of the posts, but I watched the trailer and it looks interesting, like a world much different than my own has been captured. The colors were attractive and it seems that a good amount of dedication was put toward this.

Thank you, Gilbert. It is a very strange world for me too, and that's why I filmed it and was so lucky to stumble on it. It has taken me 40 years to realize that what matters is not what I consider to be real but what is real, and today what is real is wilder than anything I could have imagined growing up.
