This is a short film two part series; witch is my first project with my dvx100b.
You might see some of the frames jump around, as well as espouser, and color
Change. Am just running a few tests just to see what kind of treatment I want to
Use. Am going for a kind of an old movie look, and at the same time seeing if
I can not only pull of the directing part, but playing in main actor as well.
The title is called HIT A HITMAN

wow!!!!!!!! It's amazing Like the shoots and also loved the acting. Can't wait til the feature film comes out.

I had a problem with the cutting and didn't understand the whole film effect and color going in and out. Seemed very inconsistent... The acting wasn't bad though

As he said, he was testing out which effect he wanted to go with.

Very cool work man. You're a great bad guy, and I mean that as the highest compliment.

I'd say that the hand held style can work in the beginning for credits and establishing a mood but if you're going to establish place with that shot of pacific national bank before cutting to yourself inside that tilt should be done very smoothly on a tripod (it'll match the objective tone we're moving to as far as I can tell from the test scene). The zoom shot in the beginning is boring and not visually interesting enough, the punch out from the parked cars is good but I wouldn't go on to a third shot of the same cars from a different angle and similar distance/focal length if it's going to be unmotivated (I assume that's the case), the slow motion shot of the little girl in the crowd is a great lively city shot and feeds well into the interesting shot of the man playing music. If you re-shoot any of the opening I'd suggest trying to keep this kind of life in nearly every shot or implying it with your sound design. As much as you can you should throw in a meaningful shot or two in the beginning that'll lend itself to the story to come as it'll start to prime the audience for whatever mood/themes/etc. you're about to dive into.

Good luck.
