Scarlet May update! Special for 5D users

OK... I spoke with someone who spoke with someone who has a sister, who met this guy, who knows what they are going to announce. It goes like this:

"Scarlet is awesome. Its amazing, and its going to be released sometime in the future."

YES!

But don't tell anybody that you heard it from me....

Lets face it who knows when Scarlet will come out Red One is 3 years old and if you put a basic Scarlet package together your looking at $10000 so who knows?

If you have a 5D package and you want to switch to Scarlet, its not $10,000 ....... I'm buying everything from the ground up and its all "Scarlet" ready.

I just hope it will be this decade.
 
For fake oaklyes you get into the "upgrade path" to Epic Atomic - its a 760K camera due out in 2034 (release date subject to change)

So fun that we could do this here and not be "afraid" of getting banned or whatever by these fan boys...... it's like a dictatorship there.

Heh, like the redUSERs aren't bashing the 5D on a regular basis.

I'd love to see red raise the price/performance bar but until then I'll plod along with my toy.

Part of the reason we disallowed such discussion on that site. That, nor this, serve much purpose on the boards. bashing and being overly defensive just ends up nowhere good 98.34% of the time... I know. I've run the numbers (ok, not really)

We don't need the bashing here, or there... better things to do and talk about...

Its not bashing... its called having fun. I can't wait to put my hands on a Scarlet but people should be allowed to joke around, especially if it has good reasons (all the "announcements", all the delays, the ass licking / fanboyism ... prime humor material)

By the way, next week I will announce some very big news here - a date for a further announcement. That announcement will include some details regarding a certain something with an additional date for further announcement which may or may not include further details about the product.
 
Is 3D enough? I feel not. I believe that 4D (Red Smell Technology TM) is the future of cinema. People want to SMELL how their movie feel like. Just like 19k resolution is not enough, watching a movie without smell is like driving a Ferrari without a hot blond girl by your side.

Release date is sometime in the very near future. [3153] But please bare with us, because WE HAVE NO IDEA WHAT WE ARE DOING.

Yes REDuser is owned and run by Jarred is it not? Good for him, he has once again provided an invaluable service to the moviemaking community. And the moderators are doing an excellent job on both forums. Keep up the good work.

This sounds like bashing and taking cheap shots to me. What you are doing serves absolutely no good purpose here. Seriously, how do you defend it? What do you think it actually adds to the community? I'm all for humor and having fun, but it's only good when we're laughing at ourselves.

And don't you know that there's no freedom of speech here? This is a privately-run forum, just like REDuser is.
