Save our ship

Mike ... just from your teaser, I think I'm looking forward to the sound on this film just as much as the visuals. There's just something about sci-fi that lends itself to awesome sound design.

Truth be told... this will either not be finished in time and/or run over the six minute limit. Either way I will be out of the running.

At this point I'm just looking to get it finished before the winners for this Fest are announced. With some luck maybe in time to be an exhibition entry. :)

How's it coming along Mike? I love the teaser and look forward to the finished film, hopefully as an exhibition piece if you can't enter the actual fest.

Yep Mike good luck in the contest - as i understand this will be a science fiction film - always an ambitious type of project to make - i look forward to this though - as ambition is what makes the world go around hehe :p
 
Thanks for all the comments and well wishes but I'll most likely have to bow out of this one. My Mom has been hospitalized with pancreatic cancer and she is going down fast. :(

I spoke a bit about it in the cafe, she doesn't have long. Obviously I want to spend as much time with her as possible so that rules me out.

The filmmaker in me still managed to take a day and shoot RONALD

I had promised a few people that we would enter and I didn't want to let them down.

It won't be in this Festival though.

I still hope to finish 'Save Our Ship' later this summer, if possible. The location is too good to pass up. Maybe by August.

Dude, that sucks. My stepmother was given six months to live...two years ago! You never know what God has planned, if you believe in God or a god of some sort. Granted, she probably won't be with us this time next year.

Take it easy bro, and I do believe in God so I'll drop a few lines to the Big Guy for your mom.
 
Mike, that's one of the hardest things anyone can have to go through. You and your mother are in my thoughts. As always, if there is anything I can do, please let me know.
