Saturday Night Special

Articles in MovieMaker Magazine and Indie Slate have discussed the arbitrary and byzantine decisionmaking process of major festivals. Sundance's application specifically states the film cannot be online nor have been shown on cable access...they don't say how much.

Again, no one is asking for a free download of the whole short, maybe you misread mine and the other posts asking for footage...
Of course you shouldn´t put the movie online, not only because of the various festivals reglementations, but because you would cut down profit from your DVD sales.
But what about a single scene to show your final look?
Or a trailer/teaser?
Or maybe a scene that didn´t make it in the final cut...?
You talk a lot about your aproach with compositing the movie and how you built your own lighting system, just give us sth to view, mate!
Anyways, I underdstand your precautions, all the best with the festivals and your next projects!

This thread truly made for quite interesting reading. I'm really not sure what to make of it overall. I like your enthusiasm, and bits of information but most of the time it seems you only want to sell stuff (your DVD and Lights). In one post you actually seemed upset that no one was inquiring about your lights for sale.

I congratulate you on all of your success thus far, and there is a chance I would by your dvd, but I would suggest staying on topic of user films, not DVXUser Shop.

My 2 cents.

Also, I don't get it, someone's been sniping your thread rating as well... lame.

That is lame.
I didn't even realize anyone paid attention to the ratings....
hell, I didn't even realize there WERE ratings until you mentioned it.

Chalk me up as one more that's interested in checking out a trailer...when you have the time.
:)

Are you updating your site? I want to check out the lights, but I'm just getting a logo with no other links to other pages.
