Sanyo AVC-HD?

Sanyo's announced their first AVC-HD model, the Xacti HD1000.

Records a full 1920x1080 to SD cards or SDHC cards, also records 720p at a 1280x720; that makes it the first 720p AVC-HD camcorder. And, its 720p is 720/60p, not 30p like the Aiptek (I think the Aipteks are only 720/30p, right?)

The translated article says it's not AVC-HD, but the official Sanyo site says "camera with MPEG-4 AVC HD technology

". Not sure which is which now that I look at it.

Looks like 899 Euros.

Has anyone bought the Sanyo Xacti HD1000? Was thinking about getting one to do some documentry type shooting.

I downloaded some footage in the 720p60 mode. Most of the footage looked good but the bit rate is only 12 megabitsper second so there was one shot that blocked up. I think Sanyo has a Panasonic like idea which is to support 1080i in order to have a high number to sell the camera but to offer 720p as a bonus for better picture quality.

Just recieved the Xacti 1010. It's a wonderful little camera. Footage looks great!
