Looking for a Sanken CS-3e with serial number above 2792. Don't mind light cosmetic wear, but must work perfectly. it looks like my question was erased.

What's the difference between microphones above serial number 2792 and below?

Also, does this microphone need regular maintenance or service?

There are around 10 years old ones in marketplace, and they didn't have easy life out in the field.

Got that above 2792 reason - an procedure has to be done to improve the physical ground connection and reduce exposure to Radio Frequency Interference.
