Thanks. Sorry man, total newbie (only halfway through my ex1 training dvd). Since you seem to be a little more seasoned...what do you think of this tripod for the ex1.

I've used that tripod for the last 6 years with a Canon XL-1S and it's worked flawlessly. I even dropped it about 20 feet onto solid concrete and nothing broke. Amazing. The only complaint I have with it is that it doesn't have a counter balance spring. So if you forget to lock it down and you walk away, your camera can tip foward/backward and possibly tip over the tripod and damage your camera. They may have added a counter balance spring with this newer model though.....dunno.
