Sandisk issues with XF100?

I recently purchased some 32gb Sandisk Extreme CF cards for my XF100 and noticed that the camera has been formatting the cards with 8gb partitions. For some reason, the rest of the card is unallocated. I used partition software to delete the 8gb partition and restore the cards to full capacity but every time I reinitialize the card in the camera, it goes back to 8gb. I've already been on the phone with Canon and Sandisk and Sandisk confirms that the cards are not counterfeit. The Canon rep seemed to think that the new class 20 designation at 60/mb s might be an issue on these. The strange thing is that the other two identical cards I have format fine to full capacity. And the cards at issue format fine on my 5D mkii and are recognized as 32gb cards. Five of my older 8gb Sandisk Utra cards have no issue. Anybody have problems like this? I've returned the card for an exchange and hope that it's just a fluke with two bad cards.

Just wanted to add that my recent purchases of two 16 gb Extreme cards seemed to format fine. I use those for my 5D mostly but wanted to have them as backup if needed for the XF100. The camera only seems to have problems with some (three so far) 32gb Sandisk Extreme 50mb/sec cards.
