Hey dvxusers. Back again with another brief installment of the progress we're making on capturing images around the state of Ohio for our smaller scale Koyaanisqatsi-like documentary.

This one includes a few clips from Ash Cave at Hocking Hills State Park, Quail Hollow State Park, and downtown Cleveland.

Very little color correction and/or grading done. Shot on stock dvx-100a; time lapses sprinkled in.

Enjoy!

Hey hey, a fellow Ohioan. I've been to Ash Cave; real beautiful place. Nice to see a video in/about Ohio. I like it.

Thanks guys. What I do is render the piece at 1280x720 so I can upload it as HD on vimeo, and I just set the bit rate at about 5,500,000 bps in vegas. Helps keep it to just a hair over 200mb (which is a little larger than I usually render to) and maintain nice quality. I'm always surprised by how nice dvx footage can look when blown up to HD size.

Also: I shot almost an hour's worth of footage in and around Ash Cave/Hocking Hills State Park. Thought about doing an extended edit of that stuff, but not sure. It certainly is a magnificent place.
