This is our instructional video on automobile safety. Steps that you need to take or you will end up like these two.


We shot this explosion twice. You can see it on the behind the scenes at the end of the clip. One Hollywood-version with lots of gasoline and preplanning, one "stuff it full of tnt and run"-version which was a blast.

Shot with two Canon 7d's.
 
Holy crap that was insane! And you guys did this just for fun?! I'd KILL to have an explosion like that in one of my films!

Our effects guy was planning to blow up two cars as training. Offcourse we went there and did a very quick plot so we could use those explosions atleast somehow, not just as "explosion tests" but something with a little story. So we filmed this and tacked on the explosion. That's why there are two explosions in the behind the scenes ;)

You will probably never see a real TNT explosion in films because they tend to kill everything. That car was basically a huge hand grenade, so we just left the cameras rolling and climbed a hill.
