S-Log on the FS100

For the last couple of days, I have dived head first into skin tones and really testing out some of the profiles that have been posted up here, including G-Log, especially A. As we all know, Red is very evident in the FS100 throughout skin tones, and all I've been trying to do it is replicate what it looks like to me in real life, in my footage.

I have done this quick clip with skin tones (the devil). I am not the best color corrector (probably the worst) so any guidance on that would be awesome.

The setup was just the light in the room (it's orange-y) and you can see my laptop reflecting on the face, lens was a canon fd 50mm f1.4 at I think f2.

Don´t know how much of that is Vimeos "Magic" but if you look at the highlight on the forehead, you see that you lost lot´s of detail.
You might try to get you skin tones into the 30s to 40s while shooting, leaving the higlights in alone in CC, lift the blacks and get your contrast with the gamma.

Thanks for the reply Frank, let me put it this way, I wouldn't blame vimeo's magic ;-).
I am having an interesting time CC'n this G-Log stuff, most likely because of my in-experience, but it's good fun.
I will try again, get those highlights right in camera and try and get that damn WB right....

Out of interest Frank, what do you CC in?

Everything but the kitchen sink ;-)

BM Looks, Colorista, FirstLight (if I have Cineform files) or just basic curve tweaking and other Premiere or Aftereffects onboard tools, depending on the job.
I tired Davici, but I did not like it. So I´m looking forward to CS6 with Speedgrade.
