Run time on p2 cards?

Simple question: about how much time do you get per 16gb P2HD card at 720 and 1080 resolutions?

This isn't specific enough.....and I would suggest Barry's book on the P2....he's broke down far more then just run time, and it's worth it to support a DVX'er

42 minutes I believe at 72024PN

I think it's something like 18 minutes at 108024PA

The user manual for the original HVX has recording times for the different formats for various size P2 cards under the heading "Basic Shooting Operations (P2 Card)--Recording Times." I would imagine the manuals for the 200A and the 170 would have the same information.

I don't own the manuals since I don't own an HVX200 or an HPX-170. Are they available online? The reason I ask is because I'm thinking about upgrading to an HPX-170 from an XH-A1, which as you probably know, uses HDV. So I'm pretty ignorant to recording times and other things of the like as far as P2HD goes.

you can download the user manual from Panasonic website for free. You will get all you need from there.

Right, but more like 16 minutes at 1080 anything. About 31, IIRC, at 720 30p. About 62 minutes at 480 60i.
