Rumor: Canon 4k super35 camera

[Kholi]

This may come off bad--

I think I did see aliasing even on the camera phone pics...

Pillar shot, right side, straight line--

Prolly just my pixel peeping eyes.

[eheath]

watch them say it was shot at 6400 iso

clean on an fs100....

[Kevin Dorsey]

Availability: Jan. 2012; Price: appx. $16,000 USD

...with one candle...

[vcfilms]

Maybe they added it in post. Seems to be in all low-lit scenes in that film

[little bobby]

The iPad control interface they showed looked cool at least....

[dcloud]

It could be $30k for all we know.

yes.
im guessing its XF codec 4:2:2 8bit.
im thinking 8-9k.
if its 5k id be very surprised.

Must be something sneaky like that Can't see them showcasing a camera under the "directors love the signal to noise" and then show them shots :/

[Postmaster]

Codec: 50 Mbps 4:2:2 Mpeg2, the same as the XF305 & 105

Yeah, I see it as well, but then, I don't see any with that shot of the girl under the sign. Could be so many different variables here. Or even color dependent.

Press release says "Availability: Jan. 2012; Price: appx. $16,000 USD (for C300)"

[Centro]

I think Red will be ok

[KyleProhaska]

Ugh...well...it's possible my AF100 has to go bye bye...we'll see. I"ll lose money though, unfortunately...

[Searcher]

5k? I wouldn't be surprised I'd be gobsmacked. It looks like a solid piece of gear. 8k minimum

[Symon]

$16k?

[Erik Naso]

Lets play a game. Take a stab at the price.

I say $15,999.00
