Roughcut of Music video

that is...AWESOME.

I hate the music (HATE), but the video looks great. I love the opening part, everything looks great!

I love seeing your work!

Good job!!

The music is good...what band is it? Sounds like Underoath's old stuff. The lighting was excellent...was most if it natural?

Very good

Man that looks sick! What was it shot on? I loved the opening shots, and the few shots of the band we get to see in that rough cut are awesome. I'm a fan of this kind of music, and I've got a few friends in heavy metal bands who I might want to try make a video for... I love learning from videos like yours.

The only problem I had with it was I thought it was unnecessary for us to cut back to the guy watching the TV once the music had already started, it just felt out of place, and having the music dip in and out like that didn't seem natural.

Apart from that, wicked video, can't wait to see more.

now that was fukin awesome! Yes, I hate the music but two thumbs up for the video!

So, you have to share them settings dude..... And what lens/filter did you use?

That looks really good. The only thing that bugged me was the rack focus a couple of times at the beginning when he is walking towards the camera. Definately NOT my type of music but the video looked great and I liked the concept. I agree with Cleavage though, I don't think you should cut back to the guy at the TV once the music starts except maybe at the very end.
Great work.

thanks for the comments guys. i didn't shoot with any filters except for a uv just to protect my lens. but i do shoot with the telephoto on. i rarely ever take it off. i think i get more out of my shots with it on. i love it

Do you mean you use a telephoto adapter? Or just zoom in shots with the standard lens?

the look and edits really work with the music. I agree, i wouldnt cut back to the guy on the street untill the song ends and he is staring at the TV or something, just seemed really out of place. I liked the wide shot of the room where everything was really diffused, looked really nice.
Cheers

it was already stated that peeps didn;t like the cut back to the guy watching tv... i didn't see anything wrong with the actual edit, but the sound dip really did bug me, it took me completely out of the video/song. try keeping the song audio level consistent through this edit, it might not make it as obvious and i'm sure the band would like it better haha.

Didn't like the song but loved the video, more exactly the intro.
Loved the look of the intro. Was it only direct sunlight? How did you get that look in post?
The soundtrack of the intro was amazing.
Can you give more technical details about this sound effect betwen second 55 to 57?
