(although its pretty insane that anyone associated with Arnold wouldn't see the several layers of irony on calling Beatty a hasbeen actor, lol)
 
first to clarify as there is usuallu confusion about this:
You need 100 posts to vote NOT to enter. You can enter with 50K, 100, 63 or 0 posts.

The 100 posts to vote rule is so that your friends, your mom, your crew and all their friends and etc don't all join on the day voting begins just to vote to skew your average (not that you specifically would do that, but that's what it prohibits).

Zack attack is out of the pack....meaning we are out of this competition. Not going to give excuses so hopefully we'll be back for the next one.
 
If we think of something else we might do it, but the original idea is out. We are still working on a long cut of the Zombie flick. We still want to make our Sci Fi movie but we might wait until spring and make it longer then 6minutes. We'll see, but I am pretty sure we will be out. Crap I don't know. I sound like Ross Perot.
 
We just fired our writer this past weekend after the second draft. A few stipulations in the contract I wasn't thrilled with (hadn't signed yet) that the writer's agent had put in there, and the dude (writer) just wasn't listening to our feedback/changes.

As of right now, I'm trying to crank out a new idea, hoping to have it completed by tomorrow. Hopefully will have the six minute version completed with a 5 point story structure, then further flesh it out for a longer version we'll keep for outside of the DVXuser fest.
 
Bummer about the writer. I've got to finish a really close to finished draft by the end of the weekend. I need to secure locations, and start scheduling shoot dates.
 
At least you have writers Envision! If I wanted to fire anyone involved in my short, it would have to be me.

Thanks. I got tired of the other banner (though those Christmas colors will really come in handy soon!), and was beginning to feel like an insensitive jerk not having the Isara logo someplace in the sig. :)
 
I only have half of mine done . I do have a basic idea where we are going with this but the weather can be so unpredictable . tommorrow night (SAT& SUN ) we are shooting our first night scene Sat outside and Sun inside . Never done a night scene before , this should be an experience . In 3 or 4 weeks we will do the final shots which is why the script is left open . If we shoot on Sat and it snows overnight , Sundays shoot will not make sense and therefore we will need to try to explain where the snow came from OR wait and do a re-shoot at a later date . The fun of Winter .
