GH3 Rokinon 85mm Cine Weird sounds?

Hey guys. I just recieved a new lens that I am going to use on my GH3, BMPCC, and Canon cameras. The problem is when I move the focus it makes a weird sound. What I think might of happened is it was banged up during the shipping. It works and focuses no problem. And it isn't hard to focus. It just makes a sound. It does it while moving from roughly 6 ft to infinity. Sometimes it I grab and move the focus in a weird way it won't make the noise.

Its nopt really a problem if I am not using sound from my camera. Anytime I move the focus it will be heard. So, what I'm asking is anyone have something like this happen? Or know if I can take it apart and maybe widen the housing (if it is slightly dentented). I am guessing that is what happened. Or maybe some lenses are just lounder than others? Any info guys would be great.

I have posted the sound here:

It's new, send it back for replacement. That sounds awful. Probably something slightly loose or misaligned. Could be insufficient or missing lube. Kind of sounds like metal on metal. It might not be a problem now but why deal with that when you don't have to. That's a problem for second hand. You bought it new, get it replaced.

unfortunately it isn't new. But I suppose I can send it back to the guy. Maybe Canada Post can pay for it if he insured it.

Contact the seller first. Give him a chance to make good. If he paid for insurance then it should be simple. If he didn't the onus is on him. Unless the rules have changed again sellers are supposed to use signature and insurance to prevent these things becoming disputes. Link him to your video for evidence and see what happens. If he doesn't come to the party then raise a dispute.

That does not sound normal. I would suggest opening a case with eBay. It has a clear process for working with a seller to resolve issues like this.
