Selling StereoMic X. Really good condition, and used exactly 2 weddings.

Mic is beautiful, and the sound is amazing. Though this would really help bring some ambiance to my wedding work, but its not the right tool for the job.

Comes with box, manual, 3.5 to 3.5 audio cable, dead cat, wind screen, and the unit itself. Please let me know if you have any questions! $730-> $700w/ free CONUS ground shipping. Buyer pays via Paypal and pays fees.

Thanks!

Just out of curiosity, why are you saying this is not the right tool for the job?
I am allso interested in capturing better sound during wedding ceremonies.
Thanks.

It really comes down to the pickup pattern of the stereo mics. I need a shotgun mic, with a tight pickup pattern.

I shoot weddings in New Orleans, and most bride/ groom preps are in hotel rooms. I bought this mic for bride/ groom prep and intimate moments between the couple outside of the ceremony. So the bride has a hairdryer, TV on, friends talking in background... this mic picks up all of that. The majority of the ceremonies I shoot here are in Catholic churches, so a large church has a lot of echo. I never intended to audio to sound better in a large church with this. For ceremonies and the occasional reception, I use 2 Sennheiser G3 wireless systems, and use the on camera mic only for syncing purposes.

With that said, there is nothing wrong with this mic. If I in the woods and wanted to hear the sounds of the forest (birds, trees, streams), or a bride with her mother only, the X would really add another dimensional layer with audio, this mic would be my mic of choice. For me, the X is not very helpful in picking up clean audio or pulling sound bites from a noisy room.

I should have said, it's not the right tool for my job. Hope that helps!

Gentlemen:

It would be appreciated if this type of communication be taken using either personal message or e mail rather than in the body of a sales thread.

Thank you.
