I'm getting allot of noise from the mic, It picks up and sounds great besides all the noise. I'm using -10db and have it plugged in with a standard stereo 3.5 to 2.5 adapter I got from radioshack... I must be missing something here.. Seems like im getting more noise than I should.

Here is a test recording, forgive my ho hum attitude, it was late ;P

(the green screen is badly lit as well ;P, and im use the open source kdenlive editor)

Hello,

I got this same combo and was at first surprised at how much baseline noise there was.

Listening to the noise, however, made me realize the SVM was picking up the sound of air coming through my air conditioning vents. Mind you this was hardly audible at all until I paid attention to it. The air conditioner itself was on the other side of the house and not at all audible.

Turning off my house's ventilation system made for a markedly cleaner baseline.

Anyway - not sure if this is an isue for you or not, but something to check.

kdenlive a linux video editor, but its more the fault of having a poorly lit wrinkly green screen behind me
