Rob Bell - Love Wins

Promo made for Rob Bell's new book- getting quite a bit of negative buzz around it from various Christian groups. Regardless, it was shot on a 5d.

Exterior night was with 50mm f1.2 L wide open at ~iso3200. Interior was mostly with an old Dine 105 macro and a nikon 50mm. Sync sound.

I always saw your projects as something special, something you choose to do because you believe in it and not only something that pays you well. ;-)

Great images Hunter !! That has to be the cleanest looking 3200 iso I've ever seen. I was expecting some ridiculously grainy effect or something, amazing !
Love the promo.

Nice work hunter, This reminds me of when I was in my early twenties, I was in dEATH mETAL BanD. Every time we played the christian churches would come to our shows to protest. It got to the point we needed police to remove them. Looking back it was pretty funny to see all these people thinking we were evil, All the while our parents would be in the audience, and knew full well it was all an act. Nothing but show biz. My point is we found quickly that bad publicity was much better than no publicity.

Wow Hunter. That book has stirred up a hornet's nest. Great shooting.

Thanks, I think a lot of people will calm down after they read it.
Its funny how many people feel they can make an accurate assessment of an entire work of text based of hearing a few paragraphs.

I was pretty shocked by John Piper's dismissal of Rob Bell following this video. I see how it could make people wary, but all Bell is really doing is asking questions... and good ones at that. I don't think that, in any way, warrants a "farewell" from Christianity.

On a side note, did you do any noise removal? I've only shot at 3200 once on a 5D, and it was a noisy affair.

I think because I had the 1.2L I got it bright enough to hide some of the noise, then when it was compressed to 5mb/s it hid the noise even more- but there is absolutely noise there in the original files.
