DOC: Rising Canteen

This is my first "long" documentary. I filmed this over the course of several months late last year and earlier this year. It follows a chef as she gets ready for the most challenging and most prestigious culinary competition of her career thus far.

 
Awesome DOC!! I really enjoyed this piece Brad. I love good quality food, this conveys just that, A lady who's passion is food, and sharing her love with for it with the customer. I typically don't like people touching my food with bare hands unless it's someone like this lady, she's incredibly passionate about high quality food, her kitchen is clean, and she obviously has a great respect for what she does. In terms of the film, it was shot beautifully, good audio, and most of all the story kept me interested. I don't see any reason you wouldn't win awards on the Indi film circuit with this film. A++
 
Very nice work, an interesting topic, well presented. Well photographed. My only (tiny) nit, would be to take the music volume down just a notch.
 
Thanks! You're right about the music levels. It screened at a film fest recently and the levels were all over the place. Music too loud, dialogue too soft. I'll readjust before I submit to another festival. Thanks for the feedback!
