"Rise and Shine" (HD video/stop-frame animation) - shot on 5D

Hi all,

It's been forever since I've posted on here! Thought I'd create a post with my most recent film to see what people think.

This film was made for a film production class at UC Santa Cruz, and has since been accepted into the 2011 Santa Cruz Film Festival.

Shooting on an HDDSLR proved to be extremely effective here in it's ability to switch between photos and video. My project is essentially a hybrid of both live-action video and stop-frame animation.

That was simply awesome! I dare not think how long it took you to achieve some of those shots. Just shows hard work pays off! Did you use a slider for the dolly shots at the start as they were incredibly slick and well thought out.
 
Mostly slider for the intro shots. A few shots where I tracked in, I did those in post.

Stop frame is the sort of thing everyone should do once, and only once. Here I am on my 4th/5th stop frame. Now I understand why so many stop frame productions center around darker subject matter...
