RIP Amy Winehouse

what !? (incredulous) ... she's done a Cobain. RIP Amy you no longer have to fight the heroin monkey on your back.
 
Unfortunately, I had a feeling it would come to this. Very sad indeed, another talented life gone. Her stuff wasn't my taste either, but she had a big following and she did have talent.

When will they learn? It kills me that so many talented individuals allow their demons to destroy their lives.

Oh boy. Just the other day I said to my wife there wasn't room for both winehouse and
Adele, and one of them had to go. Whoops!
 
No surprises here but still always sad to see someone not be able to get over their demons.

Hard to agree with that...the Grammys are not necessarily an indication of talent.

...and many other VERY talented individuals & groups. Just sayin'.

Just said last week (after her disastrous, drunken/stoned German performance) that she wouldn't last the year. Not that I was the only one making such a prediction, surely.

And yet, I was just so saddened to hear the news. And weirdly just as shocked. Guess I hoped she'd pull through.

Such a loss of an original talent.
 
Oh come on. With names like The Doors and The Who, those are total rip offs of The Shins and The White Stripes.

"Jimi Hendrix"? Obviously a Jimmy Eat World cover band.
Queen probably covers Prince songs.
