Restoring default factory settings

Hi

I have read the manual cover to cover and cannot figure out how to totally restore the camera to it's factory settings?

Any help would be most welcome.

Page 117 of the manual shows how to initialize the user settings to factory...

Page 102 shows how to initialize scene file to factory settings...note that this is done for each of the dial settings.

Thanks RJS, but my 117 does not mention anything about it. That page just displays the 1934 menu and setup options.

Can somebody just tell me how to do it instead of running back and forth on the issue, thanks?

I am NOT looking to reset the scene files. The little reset button next to BARS does not restore factory settings.

Can someone please just tell me how to restore the default settings??

To reset:

1. select which of six to restore in the dial

2. Then in the SCENE FILE screen SAVE/INT, select INITIAL.

The Settings for only the selected scene file are returned to the factory settings.

However I am not looking for scene files, I am looking to reset ALL THE SETTINGS to factory.

Press the reset button. Then go to the user menu and choose INIT.

Okay I still cannot reset the camera. The above mentioned method I can not seem to get to work, is it correct?

Stick a straightened paper clip into the reset switch next to the BARS button behind the LCD.

Thanks THoff but that does not reset the whole camera like date time and ALL settings.
