Resolution test chart - anyone shoot one yet?

As per title.
Are there any full-res JPEG/PNG/TIFF images grabbed from the camera's output? I'd like to see how the resolution and general sharpness are.

interested in this as well.. what's the estimated resolving power of this thing. I just ordered one but I am curious if it can resolve more than an ex1 and if so how much more?

The published spec is 800 TVL. Which puts it near, but not ahead of, the EX1.

Though I really wonder if one company's standard for what is truly resolved is the same as another's. Everyone seems to have their own standard of what "lux" means.

I'd love to see a side by side (not that it really matters at all).

I did and the results made me worry I do something wrong. I got 600 TVL in the center. Zuiko 14-35 at 20mm/f4, 1080/25p as seen on Panasonic ref 1920x1080 monitor via SDI. All other setups default 0. Must try again on a dedicated TV chart, that one was photographic.

Aren't zooms typically softer? Maybe Panasonic's measurement for their spec was done with a prime?

This will also be very highly dependent on what glass you use. :)

Absolutely.

Zooms have soft parts in their range just as different apertures can have soft and sharp characteristics.

This Voightlander 25mm VS Panasonic 14-140mm really shows the difference between a good lens and a great one in terms of sharpness: http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthrea...95-und-35-1.2-vs.-Lumix-G-14-140&goto=newpost

I meant to comment on that before.

The zoom is wide open compared to two primes that range from 3 or 4 stops closed down. Zoom never had a chance.

Also, I noticed that the F-stops (since they are not T-stops) are almost a complete stop off from each other. Yikes!

Not the Zuiko. It resolves 100lp/mm in independent photo tests. One of the few zooms sharper than top primes (Zeiss, Leica).
