i did the same thing when i first got my dvx-100a

on the very first day of shooting, at the beginning of a 2 week shoot, i pulled the camera out of the porta brace bag and turned it on and freaked out because everything was white.

i thought for sure the camera had died and was starting to panic and then i went through the settings and the iris setting was wide open.
