Reset Camera To Defaults ?

Ola,

I am sure this is answered in the manual that came with the darn thing but you see I am at work and rather bored so here goes.

How can I reset all of the camera settings to default (factory)?

The reason why I ask is all of my F1-F4 are PURE WHITE. No visable image. I dunno wut I did lol. The white balance was set to auto and it says it is over. I am guessing shutter / iris ? Letting in too much light into the camera.

Anyway how do I reset the entire cameras settings ?

In the Scene File settings menu (Gamma, Letterbox, etc)

Scroll all the way to the bottom and you will see the option to SAVE or RESET (Cant remember the exact verbage)

You'll most likely have to start at F1 and work your way through each Scene File!

So the complete white out is a setting issue ? I dunno if this can happen but when I was setting up a preset (F5) it altered all of them. Do not understand why. But after that any setting before F5 are all white.

OK, I don't have the cam or the manual in front of me . . .

But isn't there a full-on camera reset option in the menu?

And isn't there a little "reset" button on the outside? The kind you have to stick a pin into?

Like I said, I'm just going from memory without either to reference at the moment. Maybe someone else can clarify.

Hmmmm.

I didnt know about these lil fucntions. I wonder if your complete whiteout has your IRIS on manual and you just think its on AUTO? So, basically it is spun into the OVEREXPOSURE column?

Hummm yea when I get home I will look into it.

It is an overexposure problem that much I am sure of. When I switch to F5 it is a little Over exposed to and I have to mess with settings to remedy this.

I will post my findings when I get home in a couple hours.

Dont stress the settings as much as the IRIS and ND's as needed. Also, chekc to see where your IRIS is set at in the menu (ie. - 3 or + 3)

Good god I feel like a dolt. ::)

The IRIS was set to manual. I swore I checked that. Oh well all is good ;)

I'm not saying you're immature at all. In fact, you're one of the smartest and coolest 17 year olds I've ever known... er.. read.

It's just a line that's been around a long time... unlike you. ;)
