C100: Requesting comments on my BTS documentary of a musical

Really nice job. I enjoyed it a lot. Mr. Burns would be proud of you. Well done. Good audio, nice pacing, C100 is look'n good too.

Looks like your a very fast learner then Mr T.

Liked it...you included a lot of nice segments and mixed them up to keep a good pace.

Of course the picture from the C100 is stellar in Theatre Lighting conditions too.....You can be proud of this one.

Many thanks.

I watched it, expecting to cringe. I'll explain. I work for myself, and pretty well all my income is from sound, video and lighting for professional and amateur shows - I also now wear the Production Managers hat too - and when people make documentaries about the industry, they usually make it look tacky, cheap and unprepared. It's easy to let the inexperience of the enthusiasts make them look stupid. This is what I expected, and I'm very pleased you didn't go down that route. You selected very short examples of the actual show, and this did the stuff - it didn't allow the view time to focus on any negatives - The orchestra, for example, from the rehearsal clips showed a mix of very good musicians alongside some, er, not quite so good ones. Same with the actors, singers and dancers. You cleverly prevented their lack of ensemble being obvious. I rather liked it - and I really do cringe when I see this usually. I often manage the UK broadcasters when they come in to shoot bits of my productions, and I always hold my breath, because you see what they're shooting, and you know they're concentrating on the less than good bits.

That was well done. Good job.
My only teeny weeny comment/suggestion is the font of your title. Make it different, since its Arial like, it looks like a sub title font. Its very minor, other than that, well done.

Good point. I tried to show it from their viewpoint, and not be too critical. Just showing how a show is put together, and what the cast gets out of it.
