Mr Jannard, after IBC can you take what ever footage you present at the conference and have it downrezed to a 2k h.264 video for us to see?.....please.:Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

and I'm sure this has been answered already but will the footage be raw or corrected?

footage most likely will be corrected.. just like you would never show raw photos from a DSLR you probally would want to massage the raw images from RED.

Just ...for you? :D
If there will be a video (which I think it's probably too soon for that) a 2k encoded in h.264 will seriously limit the range of users that can play it back in realtime.
I would suggest a 25Mbit CBR mpeg-2 encoded on TMPGEnc plus 2.5 (at max quality) instead, so that at 24fps it will be playable almost on any medium pc with the free Video Lan player, cut in small clips.

booo...:kali:
Red, the camera, isn't exactly marketable to a wide range of users so catering Red, the sample video, to the masses seems kind of meaningless to me.

Give it in 2k h.264; the macbook i'm about to get will handle it just fine. I want to see what this cam can do! :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG) :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

lol.. that macbook wont handle it.. unless you scale it down, in half. unless you cool with only watching half the image full screen.

I Agree, For the time being we do not need to worry about getting the footage out to the general public to watch. What we need to see and the people that need to see it is the content creators. The people that can see the difference in HD vs 2 or 4K. So give it to us as big and beautiful as you can. I only have 23" apple cinema displays but I will find a way to see it as big as I can.

We HOPE to show footage at IBC. We will definitely show stills and will post them after IBC starts. It is looking pretty good for 24fps 4K... BUT, still no promises.

IF we show 4k footage at IBC, or whenever we do, we will post various forms of the footage for people to view.
