Replay XD POV Camera

Looks very interesting, especially the live HDMI out recording/broadcast capabilities. Having used the Go Pro HD's since their inception, I'd like to hear more from others too, to see how this compares to the old Go Pro HD....???
Does anyone know of any live HDMI microwave transmitters, that are water-proof?? Need something that will transmit live video, that is on a Jet Ski, with the receiver mounted about 20 feet higher than the Jet Ski, and the distance being no more than 1/2 mile.

I'm sure you could rig a Teradek Cube in a waterproof housing. Seems like a small Pelican could do the trick. Mount the antenna on the outside of the box and you should be set.

I've just started testing the RePlay and am very impressed so far. I would agree that the water tightness of the unit is a concern. It has o-ring seals at the front and back and it claims that the buttons are also sealed, but I don't think I would trust it at any serious depth. The seals are very similar to what you would find on a tactical flashlight. Great for keeping rain and snow out, but I doubt it can handle any pressure. That being said, the image quality is outstanding and the ability to do 5mp time lapse and manual scene file adjustment put it in a whole new category of usefulness.

Here is a quick montage of the first clips I've put together from a recent shoot for American Trucker on Speed Network, enjoy...

I don't know why don't we get these cameras with flavors of 24/25fps? It's 2011, I don't wanna be bothered to transcode into other frame rates. Other than that looks pretty sweet, I've been holding off to buy such a camera for special camera work, a upcoming shoot is calling for such a cam. Might this be the best option right now?

Checkcing the tech specs right now they state to have a PAL25/50 option... hmmmmm... no 24p option though. Really funny.

I've been working pretty closely with the guys at RePlay including John the owner and they are aware that 24p is something worth having. We've been testing out a bunch of different configurations and mounts, some new stuff is on the way that really blew me away. Here is a little video I cut together from a race we just shot out in Pahrump NV. We had 35 RePlay's with 2 crews shuttling cameras between 50 race cars and a small helicopter. We got some incredible footage...

This was all shot at 720/60p and transcoded to 24p ProRes for editing. The opening shot is using the full 60p slowed down to 24p for 2.5x slow mo. Enjoy.
