Repairing small lens scratch?

I have a small scratch on the lens of my XH A1. It was something I did not notice when originally purchasing used. :undecided

It does not effect the image at all but as I am planning on selling the camera, I want to get it buffed out/repaired before passing the camera on to someone else.

Is this an easy fix? Any recommendations on how to go about getting it repaired? Cost estimate?

Thanks!

I believe the very first element is actually just a filter of sorts, not actually a part of the lens assembly. You could probably have Canon replace it, but remember, they'll probably charge a flat rate of a pretty high sum (I think its 500 for out of warranty, 250 under warranty).
To be honest, I'd just post up some video that was shot on the thing as proof that it doesn't show up. And check that it doesn't show up at a very small iris too, it could show up under that condition even if it doesn't show up "normally."
