So i wasn't sure where to post this but here goes.
I've got a project coming up in a couple of months to film a conference in New York, I'm in LA though. I am looking for rental houses in NY that people have used with some success. I need something that can shoot HDV because i wont have the ability to dump footage from cards or anything during the shoot. I need to be able to just quickly switch tapes and move on during 3 days worth of conference. I am very open to suggestions for cameras that might work well for this type of shoot. Its going to be a large lecture hall, 3 static cameras and 1 roaming camera. I normally use my DSLR but for this shoot i need more cameras and need the longer takes that a tape will give me. I'm not stuck on Canon cameras i just know i can work with a canon HDV workflow and i have to shoot this in HD.
Feel free to tell me if you have any better ideas of how i could record with as little down time as possible and still be able to bring all this footage home with me to edit.
Any help is appreciated.
