C100: Rent a C100 in LA?

Anyone know an average(ish) price to rent a C100 + lens (24-70 or similar) for 8-9 days in or close to LA?

and/or a typical price per day/week.

Thanks

DZ

I'm not in LA, but I've seen the C100 now renting in a couple shops here in Seattle that don't rent out high end cinema gear, so I'd imagine that it wouldn't be too hard to track one down in LA. Since you're from out of the country, I'd definitely call ahead and make sure that the rental house knows you're not local in advance so there aren't any surprises when you go to pick it up. They may have some additional requirements, and it's always good to know them and get them taken care of in advance. I've been burned when I went to pick up some simple gear only to have them mention that they needed to be listed on the production insurance policy. Uh, yeah…a few C-stands and sandbags needed to be insured for a million dollars.

Thanks for the info and tips!
just looking for some approx cost to see if rental is at all feasible.
Was gonna bring my FS700 but for various reasons that seems like a big hassle and a C100 would be better suited for what we would do in LA (more documentary style shoots). Not sure the budget will hold up for rental though so we'll see if I get to LA or not ;)

The two biggest rental houses here only rent C300s, not C100s.
Though I do have one (a sales/rental house) considering opening a box and renting the C100.

But I just don't think there's much of a market for C100 rentals, generally speaking, thus "Lensrentals rocks!"
Plus the gear's in top condition, with a charged battery in a Pelican case. There's no song and dance, and just put it on your card and there's no insurance hassle.
Great lens selection, too, of course.

Cheapest rental house rates for C100 bodies I've seen have been $250/day. With 3-day week pricing, you may be able to swing a 5 day rate. Samy's has them.

Thus, lensrentals.com is definitely your bet pricing-wise, aside from private owners. I also own a C100 kit, but would be need more of an established identity in place on the part of the renter before I'd send it out.
