Removing a viewfinder frame

Got my vf yesterday. Question: Is it possible to remove a viewfinder frame, so anyone won't notice? Or do I have to use those screen-protectors (foil or hardframe) first?

Which model ? The normal way to remove a frame is squeeze the top and bottom of the frame toward each other, and the bond should break. Then use a sharp ended object and prise upward from the corners. I fixed my Z Finder to a GGS hard protector. The whole lot just slides over the VF eyepiece mount. Nice and easy to swap between cameras

Carry speed:

GGS is 18$. Worth it?

Or 15$ for Phottix:

There are some with eyepiece mount and without as it seems. GGS with eyepiece is 29$.

I ask this, cause I need to sell the T2i after my short.

The frame used on that VF is quite thin, comes off pretty easily.
Go for the GGS with eyepiece, nothing will be stuck on your camera LCD, its a much easier/neater way of attatching an LCD viewfinder.

What about the one without the eyepeace? I'd like to use the GH2 with the speed carry later on (probably).

Just as good, for protection. You would of course have to stick that directly onto the back of the camera, dont know how difficult they are to remove
