"Remove the tape" message

Shot some footage today with my HV 20, wanted to capture to FCP, but when I put in tape and turned on I got this "Remove the tape" message. I put in another tape, same message. Uh-oh. Any idea which specific assembly malfunctioning would produce this message?

Thanks, Huy, for the reply. This is what happened:

How bizarro. After trying different tapes and getting the same message, I said F*** it and quit trying. Hours later, I put in a new tape, turned on record, no problem. Turned on the play side, no problem, and captured the material. I tried it because I had a gnawing suspicion in some recess of my brain that it had happened before with some camera or other, and my epiphany was rewarded. Tra-la-la.

Could mean one of the reels is locking up, it doesn't tell you unlike panasonic cameras do. For whatever reason, a head cleaner for like 2-3 seconds has always done the trick for me when it happens on the A1 that I use.
