Remote follow focus for £150/$300

I think it's quite evident that Peter's design has matured far beyond the original ultra-low end concept he started with. I'll be very excited to see one in person, and quite possibly become an owner...

it's still a good deal, but
it's not fair to maintain all this time the title of the thread !!!

thousand of people have come and have follow the story day by day because of the price (150£)

now 5,6 it's time more, ok, now you're giving us better quallity...

but I dont like all the method of marketing!

Man why are people getting all bent out of shape about the title? You've made a serious effort to bring it in under cost and from your development, we've all seen step by step how hard it is to get this kind of specialized gear in so cheap. It's just not feasible. For you to have actually brought in so low even under $2000 is awesome for all of us, especially when we can get our hands on it.

It's not marketing: just the original intent.

I'm definitely still buying one. If I would buy two I had any spare cash left over.

Now get them out in time for Christmas Pete! Our Christmas trees can't take the shame of another year without a HoFo!

I spotted that, very nice!
I might have to come down to London to get a demo from you Pete.

After that I might have to start saving...
^_^

Feel free, send me an email and we can arrange a time... If your doing a shoto somewhere, maybe I could come along with the HF and you can have a go with it...

Exactly.

Those who have never priced out a Bar Tech or Preston have no idea how good a deal that is, even @ $2K.

Y'know what, get what works for you.

We have a guy making a great product by himself, spending all of his own money and time in R&D and revising it, making it a mature product at at least HALF of the price of the next closest competitor, but that still isn't good enough.

Maybe we should just have him pay US $$$ and then give a wireless FF too.:violin:

Heres some more photos of the final production unit.

For more pictures, freind the HF on facebook, theres an album on there. Link in my signiture.

The final product looks great and I bet it is worth the price. You know if the budget doesn't allow, then it doesn't allow.

Now, at risk of getting bombarded with critism again, do I remember reading somewhere in the post that this will not work with cinematic lenses as they are too heavy to turn?

The HoFoMo-1 (the current motor) is deisnged for broadcast and SLR lenses. Cinema lenses are generally too heavy for this motor, and to avoid damage, re recommend you do not use it with cinema lenses. If you have a RED and PL mount lenses, then a Bartech is a good option.

The HoFo is for 35mm adapter users, RED users with Nikon lenses, and the new breed of DSLR film makers. Oh, and also broadcast lenses.
