C100: Relocating C100 top handle for Ronin shooting?

I've tried to find a solution, but so far haven't come across an answer. I already own a C100 grip relocator, but was wondering if anyone knew of a relocator or cable extension to move the top handle off of the camera while retaining full functionality. I want to put the C100 on a Ronin without losing the top handle. It seems really tight to fit it on with the top handle and there isn't much room left for balancing or tilting. Thanks in advance!

Hmm, never heard of anyone mounting the C100 top handle on a gimbal. Using it to pickup and hold the Ronin might be a little too much weight on the cold shoe bracket, and if you're just looking for audio there are easier ways to connect a mic into the C100's stereo input.

But anyway, interesting question, I'd be curious if anyone has tried a cable extension for the top handle.

So you're thinking better to run into C100 with the mini connection? Thanks, I will look into that. I guess another box that takes XLR in and 1/8" out would work, but I was just hoping to keep it simple. Thanks again!

Run independent synch sound and get a handclap at the front or end of each take?

You're introducing compromise/complication by using a gimbal - might make it easier if you keep sound out of it.

Ben.
