Hey just trying to rehack one of my cameras but cant seem to get it to flash.

I think the problem is that the body reads version 1.4 how can I flash new firmware
 
with firmware 1.4 i don't think you will be able.

you say the camera reading firmware 1.4 has perviously been hacked, yes? camera's with hacked firmware should read 0.0!
 
Shouldn't be a problem
name firmware 1.41 or above
enter value for version increment that corresponds to the difference between current firmware and new firmware (1 if going from 1.40 to 1.41, 10 if going from 1.40 to 1.50 etc)
tick 'version compare' box so that in future, firmware will read 0.0 and you wont have to go through these shenanigans
 
a hacked GH1 should read firmware ver0.0

from my understanding every hacked GH1 should read ver0.0 no matter how many times its been hacked.

if you say its previously been hacked yet still reads firmware ver1.4 the hack has never taken... aka GH1 may be unhackable.

never trust anyone with the user name onion (just kidding onion, its a funny user name thats all.)

Wasn't it that the hacks initially didn't have the feature to block version compare - and at these times the version number had to be increased with every hack? I would just try 1.5 or so and then activate the 'don't compare versions' option.

you may be right Joho i only have my hack experience and i've always had ver 0.0.

... so yeah give 1.5 a try :smile:
 
Sorted it just needed to throw a big number into the version increment thingie i was trying like 10 before and it wasn't working then after reading a tread on vimeo i tried 30 and bam it worked
