"Refill" - by hybridtheory, xpac84, and happygobo

i tell ya, names get me all the time.

The first names were easy, but i guess im just detail orientated. A lot of it comes from the environment around me, for instance, Matheson and Minton both come from street names around my townhome.

It was rough, I had to give up on Marie's character, nothing went well after Waitress.

And why would the waitress's name be "get me my coffee". shes the one getting the coffee. Yeah thats right, i did spend all this time analyzing that name. Thats how seriously we take our character names here at Clean Slate Production...

I suspect the good Mr. Petro had prior incident involving hazelnut and saliva. :)

OK lets say you walk into your nearby breakfast nook and Betty your waitress gets your order of one cup of coffee. For some reason she does not like you.. so you dont get your coffee. then you say hey Betty would you please bring me my coffee. She appears offended and hocks some lung butter into your cup. then pours your coffee of course you see this and promptly tell here to get you a new cup.. she again does not bring it. So here comes the name change.. also you are rather unhappy at this time hence the grammatical mis-speak.. so her new name is Getmemydamncoffeeanddontspitinitthistime. Although explaining this backstory might be a little much for a 6 min film... And thats how serious i am about naming at Phoenixbutterflyflims

actually french vanilla and lung butter :) while it sounds good on the surface it can be a horrifyingly lethal combo.

ALRIGHT, AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION TIME!

I've been messing around with a lot of looks, so who know if I'll even use one of these, but let me know which one you like best.

Pick:

Original - LEAVE IT ALONE!
OPTION 1 - Warm colors filter with a bit of white diffusion.
OPTION 2 - Tweaked Bleach Bypass with slight Sepia.
OPTION 3 - Green and Yellow filters with slight black diffusion.
OPTION 4 - Blue and Black Filters mixed 50% with original with bleach and diffusion.

the original looks like a digital still from an hvx. option #2 looks like its from a real professional movie. thats my 2 cents.

i agree, the bleach bypass does give it that lock stock or snatch look, i still have to decide whether or not it fits the piece as a whole.

Then again, I could go for a "grainy" type film look, but i've done a few compression tests ... and most if not all of that grain goes away

im begging you. lock stock is a dope english gangster film that borders on spyness and oozes with coolness. dont overthink the mood of REFILL, just make it look grainy contrasty & cool! you'll have my vote.
